#1080_Integrating Building Science with Home Inspection
2hr | 2CEUs
Where: Via Zoom | $50.00
Just because it’s new construction, doesn’t mean it’s perfect! This class will dive into why it is important to have a home inspection on new construction and common defects. This information is valuable to share with clients and agents alike to help grow your business.
Ms. Murry has a background in residential construction and building science that began in Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. As a construction crew leader for Habitat for Humanity, the need for creating energy-efficient, sustainable, and healthy homes inspired her to complete a degree in Residential Building Science from the University of Minnesota. Tessa worked as a Performance and Testing Department Supervisor at Cocoon for four years before pursuing a career in home inspections with Structure Tech in 2016. Tessa teaches continuing education classes to realtors, lectures at the University of Minnesota and has presented for the Duluth Energy Design Conference. She provides technical writing for Minnesota’s Building Performance Association and has been published in scientific papers through the Department of Energy’s Building America Program. She has been a member of ASHI since 2016.
